HUNTER -- Elmer T. Hunter, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edith E. Hunter of Albuquerque; sons, John Dale Hunter and companion, Susan Hood, James Dennis Hunter and wife, Sandra, and George David Hunter, all of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Hunter and wife, Florence of Albuquerque, and Cecil Hunter and wife, Mattie of Sun City, AZ; step-brother, Jack Beckner of Orangeville, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Delbert; granddaughter, Denise Hayslip; and sister, Velma Schultz. Elmer was an avid beekeeper, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He retired from the Boiler Makers Union in 1980. Services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Herbert Watson officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Tuesday, September 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
