LUJAN -- Joseph Carl Luj n was born February 19, 1964 in Albuquerque. He was a life long resident of New Mexico and later chose his home in Los Lunas. He graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1982 where he was involved in band, sports, and other activities. Joseph was involved in Boy Scouts of America and attained the honor and rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to attend the University of New Mexico where he studied engineering. He also attended TVI where he studied computers and technical drafting and was also a teachers' assistant. He received his associate degree from Arizona Institute of Technology in Phoenix, AZ. Joseph was a hot air balloon pilot and was passionate about ballooning. Joseph was active at San Felipe Church, and he generously shared his talents, knowledge, and compassion with so many. We will miss him always. Joseph was a devoted, loving husband, a caring, involved father, and a respectful and attentive son and brother. He will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and loyal friend. He was taken from us so suddenly, but we will have faith and trust in the knowledge we will be reunited again soon. Among many friends and family his survivors include: his wife, Veronica (Lucero) Luj n and son, Manuel Joseph Luj n of Los Lunas; mother, Dr. Mary Estelle Luj n of Albuquerque; and sister, Stacy M. Luj n and her husband, Stephen Wolfe of Lubbock, TX. A Memorial Fund for Mr. Luj n has been set up at New Mexico Bank and Trust (830-8100). Visitation for Joseph will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
