RUPE -- Dimple Lois Rupe, 76, of Albuquerque, NM passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Anna Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque. She will lie in state Monday, July 26, 2004, 12:00 Noon - 7:00 p.m. at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home in Carlsbad, NM. A gathering to celebrate Mrs. Rupe's life will be held Sunday, July 25, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the home of Donald Rupe, 7701 American Heritage NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87109. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, in Carlsbad, with Pastor Bob Bacon officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, in Carlsbad. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dimple Lois Rupe was born on Friday, November 4, 1927 in Hagerman, NM to William L. and Ola Harkness Roberts. She grew up in Carlsbad and attended local schools. On December 27, 1945 she married Jack Rupe in Carlsbad. From 1961 to 1982 she was a resident of Albuquerque. She had worked as a claims representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield for ten years before retiring. In 1982 she returned to Carlsbad where she stayed until 2001, when she moved back to Albuquerque due to health concerns and to be closer to family. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Jack Rupe; and one granddaughter, Barbara Rockman. She is survived by: 1 son, Donald Rupe and wife, Mary of Albuquerque; 2 daughters, Patty Fleming and husband, Richard of Mansfield, NM and Kathy Rockman of Albuquerque, NM; 2 sisters, Ersa Tidwell of Carlsbad, NM and Lola Harris of San Antonio, TX; 5 grandchildren, Sean Rockman, Brian Rockman, Jeannetta Cremer, Erin Rupe, and Erik Fleming; 1 great-grandchild, Jacob Rockman.
