VIGIL -- Manueltia B. (Mela) Vigil, age 92 and a resident of Albuquerque for 74 years, passed away on Friday July 16, 2004. She is survived by her son, Rudy Vigil and his wife, Perla of Juniper Hills, CA; a brother, Florencio Baca of Albuquerque; a sister Adelia Mesa of CA; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emiliano Vigil; son, Fermin Vigil; and daughter, Diane Kulis. Mrs. Vigil was a member of the Eucharist Paterity of the Blessed Sacrament and member and past president of the Secular Order of Mount Carmel. A rosary was recited Monday evening, July 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 20, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
