ESCOUBE -- Charlotte Bahlke Escoube, a/k/a Charlotte Stanley, died in Albuquerque on July 15. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 17, 1925, and graduated from the University of Chicago High School and received the Bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. She was a member of the Alpha Phi and Delta Kappa Gamma sororities and was, for many years a member of the Presbyterian Church in Grants. Charlotte had a very gratifying 33 year career teaching English and Civics in middle and high schools, mostly in Grants, but also in Denver, Cripple Creek and Victor, Colorado. She is survived by her husband, William; and brothers, W. Herbert Bahlke of Boise, Idaho and George Bahlke and his wife Felicity of Clinton, New York; and by nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by Charles F. Stanley, her husband from 1946 to 1989. She is remembered for her ever loving kindness to her family, friends and the many appreciative students she had over her long teaching career. Cremation has taken place. At the request of the deceased, there will be no memorial service. No memorials or flowers, please.
