GAISER -- Thomas Martin Gaiser, 81, passed away peacefully at home Sunday evening, June 27, 2004, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen; his daughter, Mary Christina and her husband, David Wertz, and their children, David, Katherine, Christopher and Sara; his son, Thomas Martin, Jr., his son, Soren and his fiancee, Cynthia Haskins; his son, Timothy Ross and his wife, Carla, and their children, Maria and Patrick of San Francisco, CA; his son, Theodore George and his fiancee, Sandra Housewright, her children, Heath Weihe and his wife, Rachel, Audra Clemens and her daughter, Aubrey; his son, Terence Patrick and his wife, Sue and their children, Brian and Emily; his daughter, Anastasia Teresa and her fiancee, David Galanti; his sister, Mary Julia and her husband, Joseph Spaulding of Northglenn, CO and his brother, John of Wichita, KS; and numerous family members and friends. He was born in Wichita, KS, January 29,, 1923, the fourth son of five children, to George J. Gaiser and Mary Frances O'Connor. He attended St. Mary's Cathedral school and graduated in 1942. He entered military service in February, 1943 and served in the European Theater of Operations. He was honorably discharged from the US Army with the rank of Master Sergeant, in 1947. He returned to Wichita and began his long career in interior design. He married Mary Ellen Wade in Mercedes, TX in 1951. they moved to Texas from Wichita in 1952 and then relocated to Albuquerque in October 1962. After retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the entire fifty states. He has been a member of Queen of Heaven Parish since 1962. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his brothers, William and James. Visitation will be at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2004. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Church, 5310 Claremont NE. Private family graveside services will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery following the Mass. Pallbearers will be: Thomas, Timothy, Theodore and Terence Gaiser, David Wertz and David Galanti.
