MARTINEZ -- Jose M Martinez, age 82, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Monday, June 21, 2004, while surrounded by his loving family. Jose was a life long resident of Corrales; and a parishioner of San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carmelita Martinez of the family home; his wonderful children, Jose Pablo Martinez of Algodones, NM, Joseph Martinez and wife, Debbie, Raymond Martinez both of Albuquerque, Joey Gonzales of Corrales, Rose Montoya also of Corrales, and Jennie Arvitt and husband, Shawn, of Albuquerque; numerous granndchildren; and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers, EMiliano Martinez, Jr. and wife, Maria, Christobal Martinez, Ignacio Martinez and wife, Emily, Enriquez Martinez and wife, Arabella, Arturo Martinez; one sister, Sally Stevens; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Jose will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales; where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the curch. Interment will follow at the Corrales Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruben Montoya, Christopher Montoya, Matthew Gonzales, Sean Avritt, Gabriel Avritt, and Kenneth Martinez.
