BRANSON -- Lewis "Chuck" Branson, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Martin of Roseville, CA and Kathy Doles and husband Paul of Seattle, WA; son, Tom Branson and wife Carla of Albuquerque; 9 grandchildren, Tammy and partner Donny, Nicholas and wife Casey, Betsy and husband Mike, Meghann, Willy and wife Aimee, Angela and husband Shane, Jeremy, Summer and husband Jim, Cheri and husband Mike; 11 great-grandchildren, Katarina, Jade Corrie, Chris, Aubrianna, Travis, Shea, Nicole, Laura, Brian, Justin and Brandon; sister, Betty Milstead and husband John of Medina, OH; brother-in-law , James Herbert Leach and wife Norma of Denver, CO and many other relatives and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther, on October 3, 2003. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on July 15, 1925. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Chuck was a salesman for Automotive Electrical Service for 25 years before purchasing Roadrunner Auto Supply, which he owned for 19 years. A celebration of his life will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Russell C. Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be made in Chuck's memory to Alzheimer's Association-New Mexico Chapter at 8100 Mountain Rd.
