PADILLA -- Jemelle S. (Jamie) Padilla passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Steve Padilla; her mother, Elaine McKim; her brother, Michael Medina, his wife, Naomi, and their daughter, Paris, all of Sacramento, California; her in-laws, Frank and Helen Padilla, Dolores Marshall, Roger and Marianne Tapia, Linda and John Fay, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Frances Marquez of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Since her retirement from the Department of Energy, Jamie had been very active in her community serving on several boards and associations. She was an avid sportswoman who enjoyed snowmobiling, water skiing and hunting. Jamie will be deeply missed by her family and many friends and will be remembered for her grace, beauty and infectious laughter. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Padilla family home. and on Thursday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m. in Albuquerque at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Hall, 4020 Lomas Blvd., NE, corner of Lomas and Morningside.
