MOLLENKOPF -- M.W. "Bill" Mollenkopf, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Saturday, May 29, 2004. He is survived by his sons, William Howard Mollenkopf and wife, Judy of Cortez, Colorado and Bruce Evan Mollenkopf and wife, Debby, of Albuquerque; grandsons, Scott and wife, Audrey, Michael and fiancee, Doris and Adam and wife, Nikki; and great-granddaughter, Morgan. His wife, Shirlee Irene Mollenkopf on February 6, 2004 and his great- grandson, Jared, preceded him in death. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II. Bill and Shirlee, along with her parents, Emma and Howard Foncanon, established Perfumes of the Desert in Old Town in 1948. Over the years they owned and managed Old Town Trading Post and Old Town Perfume and Candle with their son Bruce. He was active in the Rio Grande Lions Club and a member of the Elks Club. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Private entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, June 3, 2004.
