GALLEGOS -- Jose I. Gallegos, 80, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2004. He was born on July 31, 1923 in Jarales, New Mexico. Mr. Gallegos is preceded in death by his wife Bennie Gallegos and Edna Abeyta. He is survived by his sons, Richard Gallegos and wife Shirley and Ron A Gallegos and Christine; his brothers and sisters, Reuben Gallegos, Libby Gallegos, Charlie and Emma Ferris, Mary Montano, Hazel Barreras, Ray Nellie and Fidel Abeyta; grandchildren, Rick Gallegos, Chandra Carey and Tony Gallegos; great grandchildren, Blake Carey, Collin Carey, Garrett Carey and Isabel Gallegos. Jose will be deeply missed by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Gallegos, Bruce Gallegos, Chris Gallegos, Carlos Gallegos, Jeff Barreras and Jerry Ferris.
