He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marcia Harville, daughter Valerie, son James and fiance, Jessica; and his grandson, Cody; his loving sister, Kay and her husband, Frank Scheer; his brother-in-law, Steve Nix; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Walker, Leslie Kisser and their families; his parents, Maudell and Marlon Berglund; his brother, Dale and wife, Linda Berglund; his brother, Chip and wife, Patty Berglund; their families and all those who loved him. Close family members, who shared their memories of the overwhelming love and profound effect Tony had on their lives held a private family memorial, based on his wishes, on Monday, May 10, 2004. He loved his family, his friends, his country and his dear canine companions who gave him a great deal of joy throughout his lifetime. Family members wanted all to know that his last words were "I love you, Marcia. My Dear Tony, thank you for being a BEACON in your family's life. It is without question you were the best man, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle that any man could be, but for each of us you were also our Best Friend. "We rode together and we have no regrets. We thank you God for the wonderful years we were blessed by his presence in our lives. We thank you family members and friends who have shown your loving emotions and kind deeds in memory of Tony. We would also like to offer our deepest gratitude to the Tijeras Fire and Rescue Team and the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Deputies for their compassionate and dedicated efforts. As "Pappy" loved animals so greatly, his family would request that in lieu of flowers or cards, those wishing to, could make a donation to any animal rescue facility in his memory.
