CHAVEZ -- Joe Ray Angelo Chavez Jr., 32, a resident of Albuquerqe passed away on April 22, 2004. Joe Ray is the beloved son to Joe Ray and Molly Chavez. He is also survived by one sister, April Louise Chavez; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Aurora Chavez; his maternal grandmother, Mary Rose Maestas; aunts, Darlene Valles and husband, Dan, Thelma Aragon and husband, Marty, Judith Ackereman and husband, Mark, Rita Herrera and husband, Carlos and Marilyn Maestas; uncles, Melcor Chavez and wife, Peggy, Andres Chavez and wife, Paulette, Pete Maestas, Joe A. Maestes and Dennis Maestas; many cousins, friends and relatives. Joe Ray was preceded in death by his grandfather, Felipe Maestas, and an uncle, John Chavez. Joe Ray was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitaiton for Joe Ray will be Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Monday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. by Father Joe Nelson. Pallbearers will be Jerome Chavez, Enrique Chavez, Pete Maestas, Ambrose Herrera, Fred Wolfel and Fred Wolfel Jr. Cremation will take place.
