ANDERSON -- Katheryne H. Anderson, 77, died suddenly on March 10, 2004 due to an automobile accident near her beloved Albany, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Anderson. She is survived by her stepson, Clifton Anderson, his wife, Patti, and their children, Ryan, Jameson, and Brittany. She is also survived by a niece, Janice Roberts, Dorothy Lynn Kinke; and an enormous family of friends, neighbors and of course, her faithful West Highland Terrier Julie Kay. She was employed by several financial institutions, including E.F.Hutton. Katheryne's generous and energetic nature, plus her Christian charity are easily recognized through her active involvement in her church and community. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Women, carrying on in her grandmother's tradition. She was as member of her "partnership class", active in Project Share, served homebound communion, and was an office volunteer at Central United Methodist Church. She was the vice-president of the Los Altos Civic Association where she served on the annual luminaria committee. She was also a patron of the Bella Rusian Children of Chernobyl, Inc. as well as a friend of the Sandia Kiwanis Club. Katheryne served wherever she was called with equal optimism and uplifting spirit. She was an avid supporter of the Lobo Women's Basketball program, enjoyed playing bridge and walking her dog Julie with her neighborhood friends. Katheryne was a very proud Texan and never met a stranger. Her sincere and ever-welcoming hugs and kisses will be forever missed. Those who wish may send contributions to Central United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave., NE, Albuquerque, NM.
