WELCH -- Ethel Welch died March 1, 2004 of chronic heart disease and lung cancer. She was 74 years old. She made a career of caring for the elderly and loved to play bingo. Ethel's family includes her daughters, Karen Baird, Donna Bauer, Leslie Hoelzel, and Kathleen Barksdale; her son, David Welch; and her son-in-law, Douglas Baird. The service will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on April 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society are being accepted in lieu of flowers. She will rest with her husband, David; and her daughter, Suzette.
