CARRELL -- Ralph I. Carrell, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since December 1988, died on March 11, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born October 4, 1919 in Cedar Hill, TX to James Waddell and Rua Ragland Carrell. He served for five years in the U.S. Army, Company F, 53rd Infantry during World War II. He worked in sawmills and a plywood mill in White City, OR until his retirement in 1981. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rua Carrell and three brothers, Jimmy Carrell, Robert Carrell and Ray Carrell. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Peggy J. Carrell; sons, Jeffery Carrell and wife, Hermie of Washington, Phillip Carrell and wife, Cheryl of Pahrump, NV; stepson, Douglas Chapman of Shady Cove, OR; stepdaughters, Kim Chapman of Phoenix, AZ, Samra Chavez and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; a grandson, Cole Tague of Phoenix, AZ; and a granddaughter, Chrissy Reynolds and husband, Richard of Central Point, OR. Also surviving are a sister, Rhoda Jean Miller and husband, Rusty of Stephenville, TX; three brothers, Randle Carrell and wife, Tossie of Roanoke, VA, Rex Carrell and wife, Johnnie of Tularosa, NM and Ronnie Carrell of Alamogordo, NM, a sister-in-law, Jerri Carrell of Redding, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing for family and friends will be held at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Monday, March 15, 2004 beginning at 11:00 a.m. and followed by Services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
