NOBLES -- Jennifer Roberts Nobles passed away March 6, 2004, in Louisville, CO. Born to Walter Orr Roberts and Janet Smock on August 1, 1946 in Denver, CO. Jennifer married Charles "Chuck" Nobles in 1996 in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from boulder high school and attended the University of Colorado. She received her BS from the University of New Mexico and her MSW Masters of Social Work from University of Denver. She was employed as a social worker in Albuquerque, NM and later with Longmont Hospital. Most recently she worked with the Mapleton Center and Boulder Community Hospital. Jennifer enjoyed being with her grandchildren, gardening, and boating on Lake Powell. She was a member of the National Association of Social workers and Phi Beta Kappa. In her words "I loved my family unconditionally, had a warm heart and a big smile. I loved my work as a social worker and am very proud of my children". Survivors include her husband, Chuck Nobles of Boulder, CO; mother, Janet Roberts of Boulder, CO, her son, Scott McCarthy of Pacific Palisades, CA, daughter, Kim McKeen of Louisville, CO; Grandchildren, Johnna McCarthy, Taryn McCarthy and Ethan McCarthy of Pacific Palisades, CA and Olivia McKeen and soon to be Lauren McKeen and soon to be Lauren McKeen both of Louisville, CO; brothers, David Roberts of Cambridge, MA, Alan Roberts of Boulder, CO and Jon Roberts of Boulder, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. The Celebration will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alpha-1 Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave., Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133.
