JOHNSON -- Fred W. Johnson, 83, died March 8, 2004. Fred was born 1-29-21 in Bronx, New York. He was an accountant with Rand McNally in New York; corporate secretary/treasurer with Sproul Enterprises in New Mexico, Colorado and California. He loved music - played the clarinet in the high school band, and played with Big Bands in the Pochonos. He also loved fishing, camping, and collecting rocks. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn. Other survivors include his son, Henry and wife, Jan of Santa Fe, and their two sons, David Johnson of Rio Rancho, and Adam Johnson of Santa Fe. Four daughters: Maude and her husband, Richard Buhrer of California, and their two sons, Eric and Pat, also of California. Gail and her husband, Karl Noble of Littleton, Colorado, and their two sons, Aaron and Luke also of Colorado. Sandra and her husband, Bruce Mayes and their two sons, Willie and Kodie, all of Estancia. Jan Johnson (Henry's wife) of Santa Fe. Fred's only brother, Herb Johnson, and his wife, Betty, of Florida. There are six great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on March 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ, Riverside, 3100 LaOrilla NW, Albuquerque, with Mark McKenzie, Minister, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VISTACARE, 5201 Venice NE, Suite A, Albuquerque, 87113. A special thanks to Jean Duncan, RN, who lovingly attended Fred for two years. Special mention is given to the hospice nurses at Manor Care during Fred's last week of his life - they are: Gary Palenschat; Carol Cuffee; Virginia Riaza, Laura Proctor; and Jackie Elliott. Lastly, thanks to Kristen Neal for the wonderful baths you gave Fred.
