WILKENS -- Victor James Wilkins passed away at home, Friday, February 27, 2004. Victor Wilkins was born March 20, 1916 in Hillman, Michigan and had been a New Mexico resident since 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy on shipboard during WWII and received five Bronze Stars as a result of his service in the Philippine and Asian Pacific Theaters. Mr. Wilkins was retired from his career with the Federal Bureau of Land Management. Victor Wilkins is survived by his wife, Judith Wilkins; daughters, Kay Badge of Crystal Springs, MI, Barbara Sayles of Pomona CA, Vicky Williams of Lubbock, TX; sons, Victor Michael Wilkins of Tempe, AZ, Bill Wilkins of Seligman, AZ, and Roy Bruce Wilkins of Scottsdale, AZ. The Interment Service will be held Monday, March 8, 2004, 3:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Diabetic Research Foundation. A reception for friends and family will be held after the Interment at 5:30 p.m. The reception will be at 3101 Lykers Dr., Albuquerque, NM.
