WALLEY -- Nancy Ann Walley, 60, rode a happy trail into the gates of heaven on March 3, 2004. Nancy was born December 20, 1943 in Kansas City, MO. She was adopted by Carol and Togo Klein, and was moved to Hazen, ND. After their father passed away, Carol moved Nancy and her brother, Phillip to Albuquerque, NM where she was able to grow up loving her favorite things, horses and cowboys. Nancy was an avid animal and horse lover, with Roy Rogers as her hero. As Nancy grew up, she realized her passion of caring for others. At the age of 14, she became a candy striper for Presbyterian Hospital. Her desire to help people carried her through decades of nursing. In January of 2004, Nancy was presented an award from Presbyterian for 43 years of dedicated service. Remembered by many as a "team player", she was always someone that you could turn to for help. Nancy celebrated her 30th Anniversary to Steven Walley on August 25, 2004. They have always been the best of friends, and their love for each other spanned galaxies. They built a life together and had two sons, Eric and Ryan. They both found enjoyment in activities such as camping, dancing, and horseback riding. Nancy and Steve supported their boys through school, college, little league, and especially Ryan's battle with cancer. Nancy, who is a cancer victim, fought the disease courageously for a year. Her family and friends will never forget the strength that she possessed, and the love that she gave so freely. She is survived by her husband, Steven Walley; sons, Eric and Ryan Walley; brother, Phil Klein; mother-in-law, Mary Walley; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jennie Walley. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 12, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Walkin' Circles Ranch, PO Box 626, Edgewood, NM 87015. Sunrise Funeral Options 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87109 (505) 821-0010.
