PITTS -- Elmer Roderick Pitts, 76 and a resident of Albuquerque for over 52 years, passed away on March 3, 2004 in Albuquerque. He was born in Arkansas City, KS to Elmer and Fay Smith Pitts. He worked at Sandia National Labs for 41 years as a machinist. Mr. Pitts was a member of Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. His son, Bartley Pitts, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Pitts; his mother, Fay Pitts of San Diego, CA; children, Roderick Pitts, Bret Pitts and wife, Kathryn, and Brian Pitts, all of Albuquerque; and a sister, Elma Imperial of San Diego, CA. He was a proud, loving, and devoted grandfather to his nine grandchildren, Heath, Chad, Michelle, Matthew, Tiffany, Neil, Keri, Mitchel, and Patrick. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 4800 Indian School NE, with Pastor Dykhuis officiating. Private interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Fellowship Christian Reform Church or Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice, 8300 Constitution NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
