KITE -- Chester Kite, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died Thursday, February 12, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Blossom Zoll Kite of the family home, who was the love of his life; three daughters, Deborah Kite Gastellum, Marcia Susan Kite, both of Albuquerque and Robin Nancy Kite and husband, Jeffrey Percival of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Sarah Beth Percival and Ruth Emily Percival, both of Madison, WI; brother, M. Leslie Kite and wife, Barbara; sister, Jean Shore; brother-in-law, Harvey Zoll and wife, Colleen; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Randleman, all of Chicago, IL. Mr. Kite spent 3 years in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII stationed on Guam for part of that time. He received his degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology where his mentor was Meis van der Rohe. Mr. Kite was passionate in his love for music and the arts. He was a member of Congregation Albert and of the Brotherhood of Congregation Albert. Mr. Kite was a very loving and devoted father and grandfather. Services will be held Monday, February 16, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, with Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx officiating. Interment will follow at Congregation Albert Cemetery at Fairview Memorial Park. The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, 4407 Menaul Blvd. NE, 87110 or to Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, 87110.
