RIVAS -- Mrs. Dorothy J. Rivas, 85, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 27, 2004. Mrs. Rivas is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary Tafoya and husband, Jerry, Lizz Rivas and boy friend. Johnny Olguin; two sons, Ramon Rivas Jr., Leo Benavidez and wife, Louise; two sisters, Mary Griego and husband Gilbert Sr., and Emma Montoya; two brothers, George Humphrey and wife, Patsy, Richard Humphrey and wife, Elizabeth; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Rivas was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Rivas Sr. Mrs. Rivas was member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Rivas will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. by Herman Flores. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m by Father Robert Lancaster. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be, Gerald Tafoya, Steven Tafoya, Dominic Tafoya, Leo Benavidez Jr., Gary Humphrey and Gilbert Griego Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be, Sean Humphrey, Donny Griego and George Griego.
