SHARROW -- Carl A. Sharrow, 92, a resident of Rio Rancho for 35 years, died January 6, 2004. He was born January 18, 1911 in Golden, Illinois to William Lee Sharrow and Viola Bushen. Mr. Sharrow attended the General City Business College in Quincy, IL and the CCC Camp Havana, IL. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and National Retired Federal Employees. He worked with the US Department of Agriculture for 27 years. He served in the Army in the Philipine Islands. He enjoyed stamp collecting and liked automobiles He is survived by his wife, Esther to whom he was married to for 61 years. He is also survived by his sister Ruby and her husband Roger Mulch of Sutter, IL. He is preceded in death by his sisters Vera and Rosalie. Contributions may be made in Carl Sharrow's name to Vista Care Hospice. A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Vista Verde Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Vista Verde Mortuary Chapel. A private interment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date.
