MARINO -- Jose S. Marino, 76, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2004. He was born on October 3, 1927 in Los Padillas, New Mexico. Mr. Marino was a WWII Veteran and a lifetime member of the DAV Chapter III, he was a Chairmen on the Board of Directors at the DAV for many years. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Marino. He is survived by his wife, Celia Marino; daughter, Rebecca Marino; son, Paul Marino and fiance, Debbie Garcia; brother, Claudio Marino and wife Chriselda; sisters, Stella Baca and husband Joe, Lisa Valdez and Jennie Lopez; one grandson, Jason Marino and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Marino will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Refreshments will be served following the rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday time and place to be announced. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jason Marino, Danny Serna, Abran Trotter, Paul Hernandez, Joe Cano, Anthony Colson, Glen Trotter and Ernie Serna. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Cano, Vincent Roop and Ambrose Sanchez. Services are in the care of: Garcia Mortuary 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
