GARCIA -- Bernie J. Garcia was called to our Father's heavenly home on Monday, December 22, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; sons, Bernie V and wife, MaryBeth of Taos, NM, Steve and wife, Linda of Lander, WY, Bill and a daughter, Loretta of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Robert, Richard, Ernest; and a sister, Irene. A special cousin, Lorraine and husband, Fred Baca; a special uncle, Sam and wife, Arcie Chavez; special friends, Mary and Phil Blea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nevares and Martha Garcia. He served in the Air Force and was in the Berlin airlift in Germany. He retired from Kirtland Air Force Base. Cremation has taken place, services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. at the Queen of Angels Chapel located at 12th St. NW. Ennichment of remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Ave. NE, 87110, Abq., NM.
