VALDEZ -- Bruno P. Mr. Bruno P. Valdez, 82, has gone home to the Lord. He was a proudly decorated WWII veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Valdez was very independent until the end. He is survived by three sons Alfredo Valdez, Manuel Valdez and wife Theresa and Peter Valdez; one sister Ramona Lovato; four grandchildren Roberta Valdez, Ina Fischer and husband Monte, Denise Chavez and Ken Valdez and wife Jennifer; four great grandchildren Breanna Fischer, Kaitlyn Fischer, Alexandra Chavez and Justin Valdez. He was a great father and friend and will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Rosary for Mr. Valdez will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfredo Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Peter Valdez, Ken Valdez, Monte Fischer and Johnny Baca. Honorary pallbearer will be David Baca.
