ROBBERSON -- Joseph Patrick Robberson "Joe", 87, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great- great- grandfather went to meet Jesus Tuesday, October 21, 2003. Joe was a resident of Moriarty for the last eight years. He was born July 20, 1916 in McAlister, NM to Minerva and Marshall Robberson on the family farm, weight 13 pounds. February 23, 1936 he married his true love Pauline Brooks in Melrose, NM. Next February they would have been married 68 years. Joe worked road construction around New Mexico until he moved the family to Hawthorne, Ca in 1941. He worked for Northrup Aircraft for nine years before moving back to Melrose to farm. He later moved to Albuquerque where he and Pauline built a successful Farmers Insurance Agency. In 1980 Joe sold his agency and retired back to the farm. Joe served as deacon and elder for the Church of Christ which he was a member for 67 years. Joe was preceded in death by his youngest child, Kathleen Dungan in October 2002. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Pat Robberson and wife, Kathy, Rex Robberson and wife, Bev; daughter, Betty Barron; brother, Gene Robberson and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Nancy Barron Rothery and husband, Doug, Milton Barron, David Barron and wife, Kathy, Lora Lagoy and husband, Tim, Aaron Anderson and wife, Susan, Stanley Robberson and wife, Kay, Ann Robberson, Sheila Wilson and husband, Darry; 13 great- grandchildren; and two great- great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Moriarty Church of Christ with John Booth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joe"s memory to Betty Valverde, P.O. Box 277 Moriarty, NM 87035.
