BARELA -- Isabel Salas Barela left us on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 12:15 p.m. She is survived by an enormous loving family that includes her husband of 56 years, Joe T. Barela; daughter, Lorraine Pohl and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Howard and Samantha Cue and Joel and Heather Wigelsworth; and great-grandchildren, Devon Cue and Brittany Gluff. Along with two sisters, Victoria Rael and Emilia Salas. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 820 Broadway SE with the Rosary on Friday October 24, at 7:00 p.m. and Mass on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with food and refreshments served at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall, prior to the Mass.

BUCCIARELLI -- Margaret (Peggy) A. Bucciarelli, 57, a resident of Albuquerque passed away October 4, 2003 with her beloved sons by her side. Her family wrote, "Peggy came to New Mexico as a breast cancer survivor in the early '80s. She loved the open skies, vast deserts, towering mountains, and every year looked forward to the Balloon Fiesta. Her compassion for others, simple ways, and integrity were an inspiration to her family and friends." She will be missed immensely. Peggy is survived by one brother, James P. Ward III of Rio Rancho, NM; and one sister, Ellen K. Parsons, of Chana, IL; four children, Michelle (Carey) Sanchez and husband of Houston, TX, Kevin P. Carey of Chicago, IL, Tracy L. Carson of Holly Springs, NC and Sean M. Carey and wife of Rio Rancho, NM. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, James P. Ward II and Margaret D. Olson; and one brother, Daniel Ward. An intimate Memorial Service in the ancient Celtic/Urnfield tradition will be carried out per her wishes in Albuquerque, NM Saturday, October 25, 2003. DAGGETT -- Clovis R. Daggett, 88 passed away Monday, October 20, 2003 in El Paso, TX. He had been a longtime resident of Belen, NM. He was retired from Santa Fe Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Velma Daggett; and a grandson, Douglas Pyle; brother, John Daggett; and sister, Hazel Hale. He is survived by a daughter, Joyce Morton; granddaughter-in-law, Rhonda Pyle; great-granddaughter, Rachel Pyle, all of El Paso, TX; and one brother, Walter Daggett of California. DOLL -- Rod H. Doll, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away on October 22, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley M. Doll of Albuquerque; children, Mike Doll and wife, Anna of Georgia, Jeff Doll and wife, Peggy of New Mexico, Gary Doll of California and Robin Doll-Tellez and husband, Steve of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Rod is also survived by his sister, Geraldine Witt of Iowa and brother, Steve Doll of Arizona. He served as a Paratrooper in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne, during WWII. Rod spent the majority of his life working in traffic safety and was the owner of the New Mexico Driving School, specializing in adults with special needs. Service will be held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel with Pastor Patricia Holman, officiating. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service. FLAKE -- William Lindsey Flake, BGen, USMC Ret., 83, a resident of Albuquerque for three years, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2003. He was born on January 20, 1920, in Snowflake, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Millikan Flake of Albuquerque; two daughters, Linda Ransom and husband, Gerald of Albuquerque and Marcia Uhl and husband, Lee of Blaine, TN; one son, David Flake and wife, Dianna of Summerville, SC; two granddaughters, Lindsey and Tara Ransom; one grandson, William Flake; one brother, Burton Flake of Tempe, AZ; one sister, Melba Pierce of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He graduated from the University of Arizona and George Washington University. BGen Flake served his country in the Marine Corps for 26 years where he was a member of the elite Raider Unit. In combat he earned the Purple Heart, Silver Star and numerous other medals. He was a volunteer for the Republican Party. HALL -- Robert W. Hall, our precious friend, husband, dad, papa and grandpapa went to be with his living savior on Monday, October 20, 2003. He was born in Buffalo, New York, August 1928. Mother, Mary Arnold. Raised from five weeks to 22 years by foster parents, Clayton and Lois Hoyle in Bemus Point, NY. Served four years on the New York National Guard, married Carol Bly Hall, June 1950. Moved to Albuquerque, August 1950. Employed by Sandia Labs five years, then opened his own photography studio in 1962, until 1991. He was a master Photography-craftsman. Past president of New Mexico State PPANM and Southwest Professional Photographers of five states. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol; five children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Deborah and Larry Altergott, Jennifer and Kalysta, Steven and Jan Hall of Denver Colorado, Shawn, Cory and Wesley. Craig and Penny Hall, Kelly and Lindsey. Terri and Steve Brogdon, Ashley, Nicole and Danielle. Roberta Hall, youngest daughter; mother-in-law, Ruth Bly Pitts. A member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 39 years. Moved to Valencia county in 1992. Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. , Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. HIGGINS -- Hope Lee (Denson) Higgins, 82, went home to Glory on Sunday, October 19, 2003. She was born Tuesday, July 12, 1921, in Canton, TX, the third of five children of Ernest E. and Oma Denson. Hope attended nursing school in Sweetwater, TX in 1941, where she met Dr. W. B. Higgins who had recently graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL. They were married November 8, 1941. They arrived in Roswell, NM on December 8, 1941, where they would build his chiropractic practice and raise their family. Hope raised her family and continued to live in Roswell until May 1998, when she moved to Albuquerque to be near her son and granddaughter, Jean Quintana. She was the "Wind Beneath the Wings" of all who were close to her. All of her life energy was given to the success and victories of those around her. She was one of the few people who spoke only soft words and made no enemies in life. Hope was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Dr. W. B. Higgins; her daughter, Edith Marie Lane; and her brother, Bill Denson. She is survived by her son, Wm. Bruce Higgins of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Mary Jean Quintana and husband John of Farmington; granddaughter, Charlotte L. Higgins and fiance, Lance Westing of Dillingham, AK; great-grandson, Thomas Alexander Quintana; brother, Hugh Denson and wife, Eva of Tyler, TX; sisters, Ruth Fricks of Tyler, TX, and Joann Howard and husband, Lee of Huntsville, TX; daughter-in-love, Mary Thornton Higgins of Albuquerque; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. HOPPES -- Alice Faye Hoppes, 64, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 21, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Willard P. LANE -- Mae McPeek Lane, 101, born May 13, 1902 in Mora Minnesota passed away peacefully in her home on August 17,2003 in the care of her oldest grand niece, Pam Eckstrom. Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Bouck; and brothers, Noral "Red" Hoefel and Roy McPeek. Mae came to Albuquerque in the early 1930's where she met and married Vere Lane, a local dentist. She belonged to the Dental Auxiliary, was an active volunteer for the Salvation Army and a member of First United Methodist Church. Mae loved a game of cards, sewing, cooking and most of all tatting. She made and sold 1000's of tatted greeting cards and donated the proceeds to the Salvation Army. She is survived by her nieces, Marlyavon Eckstrom and husband, Ron of Sulfur Springs, Texas; Judy Bishop and husband, Jim of Seattle, Washington; nephew, David Hoefel and wife, Suzanne of Albuquerque; and sister-in-law, Theresa Hoefel of Albuquerque. She also had 11 grand nieces and nephews; and 16 great-grandnieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.

MARTINEZ -- Margaret Martinez, beloved mother, sister and grandmother, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 88. She will miss her standing poker game with the girls. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her daughter, Ruth Olivarez; sons, Charles Olivarez, Pete Martinez and wife, Susan, and Albert Perez; sisters, Alejandra Duran, Gabina Montoya, Dorela Anaya, Theresa Leyba and Agripina Garcia; and grandchildren, April Olivarez, Margaret Olivarez, Sabrina Olivarez, Irene Casey and Ginger Creswell. RANDLE -- Johnny Randle, 62, Johnny Randle passed away on October 18, 2003 in Albuquerque. Johnny was born November 25, 1940 in Dallas, TX. Johnny attended culinary school at TVI, and Dallas Community College. He was a barber for many years, and a landscaper for over eight years. Johnny is survived by his wife, Glenda Randle; his daughters, Renecca of Albuquerque, Loriessa of Long Beach, CA; and his sister, Gurlie Cross of Dallas, TX, as well as many others in his extended family. Johnny lived in Albuquerque since 1968. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church, located at 6900 Los Volcanes N.W.; Pastor Doug Willie will officiate. RICHARDS -- H. Scott Richards of Albuquerque died at his home in Albuquerque on Sunday, October 19, 2003. He was born March 11, 1919 near Steubenville, Ohio, the sixth of seven children born to Loren Joseph Richards and Margaret Grace (Jackman) Richards. His first eight years of schooling were in a one-room schoolhouse in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He walked five miles to attend Steubenville High School, graduating in 1937 with a major in mechanical arts, having a talent for drawing. He grew up in a farming family and was active in the Presbyterian Church and the National Grange. His family had their first telephone in 1923 and the home received electricity in 1935. In 1941, he volunteered for the Army Air Corps, attended basic training at Kelly Field in San Antonio, then teletype operator training at Luke Field, near Phoenix. In May 1942, he was assigned to Roswell Air Field. While assigned to Roswell, he met Billie Scoggin, and they married on June 15, 1943 which was the wedding anniversary of both of their parents. In 1945 during WWII, he served on the island of Luzon in the Philippine Islands. After the war, he returned home, and was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps. Beginning in 1946, while he studied pre-engineering at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, he worked at a lumber yard and drew house plans. In 1948, he transferred to UNM in Albuquerque and studied architecture. While in school, he worked drawing house plans, and in a sheet metal shop. He received his BA in Architectural Engineering from UNM in 1951, as one of 13 students in the first class to receive that degree. He received his Engineering License in 1955, and was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and an associate member of the American Institute of Architects. After graduation, he first worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, then for some of the leading architects in Albuquerque, and did the structural design of many buildings throughout the state. Later he worked as a Plans Examiner for the City of Albuquerque Building Department, checking plans for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical code compliance. Because of his expertise, he was often called on to assist other plans examiners when structural engineering questions arose. He retired in 1986. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge, receiving the 32nd degree of masonry, and was a member of the Shrine. He served as Cub Master, Scout Master and Neighborhood Commissioner with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Brotherhood Member of the Order of The Arrow honorary society, and was appointed a Lodge Advisor. He saw his son and two grandsons achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a former member and ordained elder of The First Presbyterian Church. Since 1975, he has been active in the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, and was an Ordained Deacon. At the Presbyterian Hospital, he volunteered 7,210 hours in the Medical Library and Medical Records, assisting staff in locating and transferring medical information for doctors and hospital personnel. His lifelong hobby was genealogy, and after researching his family history online and during vacations, he spent a great deal of time recording the information on his computer. Scott Richards is survived at home by Billie Scoggin Richards, his wife of 60 years; a daughter, Sandra Richards Bonham and her husband, Dr. Gordon Bonham of Baltimore, MD; a son, Donald Scott Richards of Tuxedo Park, NY; four grandchildren, Dr. Scott Bonham and his wife, Noemi of Bowling Green, KY, Cathy (Bonham) Zeisler and her husband, Todd of Mars, PA, Kyle Richards and his wife, Melissa of Jefferson, WI, Michael Bonham of Pittsburgh, PA; six great-grandchildren, Zachary and Will Zeisler; Alexander, Jason, and Tyler Richards; and Raquel Bonham; a sister, Alma Richards of Norwalk, OH; and many nieces and nephews including Adele Miller of Carrollton OH. Visitation will be held at French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE on Friday, October 24, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church 114 Carlisle Blvd SE at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2003. ROBBERSON -- Joseph Patrick Robberson "Joe", 87, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great- great- grandfather went to meet Jesus Tuesday, October 21, 2003. Joe was a resident of Moriarty for the last eight years. He was born July 20, 1916 in McAlister, NM to Minerva and Marshall Robberson on the family farm, weight 13 pounds. February 23, 1936 he married his true love Pauline Brooks in Melrose, NM. Next February they would have been married 68 years. Joe worked road construction around New Mexico until he moved the family to Hawthorne, Ca in 1941. He worked for Northrup Aircraft for nine years before moving back to Melrose to farm. He later moved to Albuquerque where he and Pauline built a successful Farmers Insurance Agency. In 1980 Joe sold his agency and retired back to the farm. Joe served as deacon and elder for the Church of Christ which he was a member for 67 years. Joe was preceded in death by his youngest child, Kathleen Dungan in October 2002. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Pat Robberson and wife, Kathy, Rex Robberson and wife, Bev; daughter, Betty Barron; brother, Gene Robberson and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Nancy Barron Rothery and husband, Doug, Milton Barron, David Barron and wife, Kathy, Lora Lagoy and husband, Tim, Aaron Anderson and wife, Susan, Stanley Robberson and wife, Kay, Ann Robberson, Sheila Wilson and husband, Darry; 13 great- grandchildren; and two great- great- grandchildren. RODGERS -- Derrill Rodgers, 82, died peacefully in Albuquerque after a brief illness on October 21, 2003. Derrill was born February 14, 1921, in Field Creek, TX to Ray and Stella Rodgers. He married Jessie Mae Nowlin, who preceded him in death in March of 1989. Derrill was a WWII Veteran and served in the US Army Air Corps. He was the manager of wholesale distribution for Ponca Wholesale, and was a member of the Elks. Derrill is survived by his sons, Douglas L. Rodgers and wife, Sandra of Albuquerque, and Ray F. Rodgers and wife, JoAnn of Santa Fe; daughter, Linda J. Rodgers of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Tara Rodgers of Florida, and Jennifer Rodgers of Orange, CA; grandsons, Derrill P. Rodgers of Broomfield, Co, and Scott Rodgers of Albuquerque; and nephew, Larry Rodgers and wife, Mikeline of Santa Fe. SANDOVAL -- Eduardo M. Sandoval, 89 and a native of Albuquerque, died October 22, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marion Sandoval; daughters, Vera Vernon of Kirkland, WA, Consuelo Amezcua of Campbell, CA; and one brother, Ricardo Sandoval of Albuquerque, NM. He was blessed with a large family, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in New Mexico and California, and many friends. He was a professional singer and musician and enjoyed entertaining others. Eduardo was also a member of the Risen Savior Catholic Community. SCARCELL -- Dennis M. Scarcell, Sr. P.E., formerly of Houston, PA, a resident of Albuquerque for 42 years, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2003, with his loving family at his bedside. Dennis is survived by his wife, Gloria Scarcell; his daughter, Lisa Robinson and husband, Robert of Taylor Ranch; his son, Dennis M. Scarcell, Jr. and wife, Elaine of Rio Rancho. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Angelica Robinson, Evan Scarcell, Ryan Scarcell, Candice Robinson and husband, Jesse, all of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, Amethyst Lee Robinson. He is also survived by his loving sister, Lois Scarcell of Houston, PA; loving brother, Ralph Scarcell and wife, Evelyn of Houston, PA; and loving sister, Sandy Roberts and husband, Jim of Prosperity, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Scarcell, and father, Louis Scarcell of Houston, PA. He was a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in the States of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and California. Dennis had 35 plus years in the industry and owned and operated Allied Engineering for the last 19 years with his family. He designed over 3,000 projects in those states. SNYDER -- Camille, 76, born June 10, 1927; died, October 22, 2003. Camille and Ken Snyder followed Camille's mother Jessie P. Antene to Albuquerque in 1952. Ken Snyder passed away in 1992. Camille owned a lady's store founded in the early 70's called "CAMILLES". Camille was known as a wonderful, compassionate business woman. She helped many women, when they had a radical mastectomy, be fitted with prosthesis, and held seminars to help with the transition. She was instrumental in getting major insurance companies to recognize the importance of covering the expense of prosthesis. Camille wishes were that "CAMILLES" would continue under the capable control of her daughter, Judy Wingate. Camille will be best remembered for her compassion for her family and friends. Camille is survived by three children, Kenny Snyder Jr. and wife, Kathleen, Judy Wingate and husband, Charlie, and Denny Snyder and wife, Elayne. There are four grandchildren, Kenny Snyder III, Robert Keith Raymond, Brian Raymond, Autumn Kelly Snyder-Wade; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., at Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming NE, the corner of Wyoming and San Francisco, October 25, 2003. THEODORATOS -- Dorothy J. Theodoratos died Friday. She is survived by a son and his wife; two grandsons; and a granddaughter. She was born in Albuquerque and has sisters and brothers still living there. She moved to Modesto, CA and had been a resident for 35 years. WHITE -- Inez Becker White, born August 18, 1907 in Littleport, Iowa died on September 19, 2003 in Nacogdoches, TX. In 1948 the family moved to Albuquerque. Inez graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1954. She taught 5th grade at Grant-Los Altos from 1959 - 1969. She is survived by her son, Roger A. White of Dallas, TX; and numerous other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Methodist Church in Albuquerque on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Methodist Church in Albuquerque.

WYATT -- John William Wyatt (Bill), born May 5, 1952 suddenly passed away on Monday, October 20, 2003. Bill was preceded in death by his Father, Jay Wyatt. Bill is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Cowie; and three children, Ashley, Jeff and wife Tiffany, Jay and wife Hannah; his fiance, Dianah Rowland; his brother, Larry and wife Francie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Albuquerque, Bill graduated from Highland High School and attended the University of New Mexico and Texas A & M. Bill spent several years in Grand Junction, CO managing a peach orchard. Upon returning to Albuquerque Bill worked in the irrigation industry including Neumark Irrigation, Sisco Irrigation and manager for Ellen Irrigation. Bill more recently managed Ellen Equipment Rentals of Santa Fe and was recently promoted to Regional Turf director for Mile High Turf Equipment/Ellen Equipment of Denver CO. Bill spent many years coaching at Eastdale Little League. He loved baseball, college football, skiing and fly-fishing, but his real love and passion was his love of his yard, the outdoors, his love of life and most importantly the love of his children, family, friends and fiance. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Pallbearers include Larry Wyatt, Paul Billingham, Jon Rowland, Lee James Rowland, Larry Carrillo and Eric Marquart.
