RUTLEDGE -- Richard Martin Rutledge, Jr. passed away September 22, 2002, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at age 77. He is survived by his son, Rick Rutledge and wife, Nova and their three children, of Austin, Texas; his daughter, Cecelia Hay and husband, Scott and their two children, of Edmonton, Canada; his sister, Susanne Sarron and her three children, of San Diego, California; his niece, Robin Field and husband, Randy and their two children, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and his brother-in-law, Mac Collins of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Richard was a resident of Canada for the past two years, and was a vital and close part of his daughter's family. Richard loved spending time at a lake at the Shuswap in Canada. The family will be coming together to celebrate Canada's Thanksgiving day, October 13, 2003, and will sprinkle his ashes at that time in the lake. Before moving to Canada, Richard lived in Albuquerque for about ten years where he acquired a number of friends and acquaintances. We so enjoyed the time we had with him here and he will be deeply missed by all of us.
