DOANE -- Phyllis G. Doane, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Friday, September 19, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Davis and Karen McDaniel and husband, Jeff, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Thomas McDaniel wife, Tammy and Bradley McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Samuel; brothers, Preston Flora and wife, Elsie of California and Howard Flora and wife, Mary Alice of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Doane was preceded in death by her husband, Retired General Don L. Doane; and brother, George Flora. She was a lifetime member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church. Mrs. Doane was a founding member of the Tennis Club of Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 1st, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Pl. NE. Reception will follow the service at the Tennis Club of Albuquerque, 2901 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix NE, 87110 or to the Alzheimers Association, 8100 Mountain Rd.
