Seim -- Rudd G. Seim, 75, died early Saturday morning, October 3, at St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center, after losing a valiant struggle with cancer. Upon the death of his wife, Mary Jane Ray, Rudd took an early retirement as Vice President of Pacific Molasses, and in 1986 moved to New Mexico from New Orleans. Rudd was born in Chicago on May 23, 1923. He graduated from North Texas State University and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. Before joining Pacific Molasses, he worked as an executive for Continental EMSCO. After retirement, he was a volunteer with SCORE and numerous other service organizations such as the Widowed Person's Service. He was active in the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder on the Session. He is survived by the families of his two sons (Richard and David Seim) and two daughters (Carolyn Quinn and Julie Guth) who collectively blessed him with seven grandchildren. He is also survived by the family of his brother, Norman and wife, Marcia Seim of Albuquerque and the family of his sister, Barbara and Mark Campbell of Dallas, TX. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2:00 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church at Carlisle and Central. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, they may make memorial contributions to the St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation Quality Continuum Hospice Fund (Box 25555, Albuquerque, NM 87125). or the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Unrestricted Fund.
