Johnston -- Robert O. Johnston, 72, died Friday, August 28, in Clayton, NM. He was born April 10, 1926 in Clayton to Olen and Dora Mary Johnston. He married Dora Mae Green on September 17, 1944, and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1995. He was a member and past master of the Clayton Masonic Lodge 323 A.F. & A.M., member and past patron of the Clayton Chapter #8 Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clayton. In addition to his wife, Robert was preceded in death by one sister, Marcella Fowler; and by one great-granddaughter, Krysta RayLyn Johnston. Robert is survived by two sons, Robert R. Johnston and his wife, Jennifer of Albuquerque and John F. Johnston and his wife, Kathy of Springer, NM; one sister, Clara Ellen Blasyk of Albuquerque; one brother, Stanley W. Johnston of Carlsbad, NM; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday, August 31, 10:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton with Rev. Andy Husted, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
