Ryals -- Our community must endure the loss of a wonderful man, Bill Ryals, who is now at peace and with his God, his good friend, Robert Riddle and sister, Gigi. Bill's suffering ended on Saturday, September 5, 1998, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and strength, Clair, who was always at his side; his mother, Juliet; and brother, Bobby. Other family members include uncle, Robert Bastanchury; cousins, Bob Bastanchury, Monica Bastanchury, Linda Schmidt, Leslie Davis, Steve Layne and Debbie Fish. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 1998 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington. Friends are asked that all considerations be in the form of donations to the San Juan Regional Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center Foundation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaQuey Funeral Home.
