Menary -- Big John Menary, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died on Thursday, May 21, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Yaeko Menary of Albuquerque; and brother, Thomas G. Menary of New York. Mr. Menary served his country in the U.S.A.F. for over 29 years before retiring in 1971. He was a member of Mesa Lodge #68, A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite, Ballut Abyad Shrine, and V.F.W. Post #9354, where he served as Commander and Quarter Master. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni Blvd. SE, with Dick Taylor and Marbert Romero officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
