Perea -- Gilbert Abad Perea, from a prominent pioneering New Mexico family, passed away Thursday morning, March 26, 1998, after a long illness. To his friends, he was known as"El Guero." Gilbert was born and raised in Corrales to Adelaida Palladini Perea and Abenicio Crollett Perea of Corrales. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Pablito, Abenicio and Pedro; and by his sisters, Serafina, Desolina, Amalia, Adela, and Olibama. He is survived by his brother, Juan and his sisters, Annie, Balbina and Priscilla; as well as his children and grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Bernalillo. He will be interred in California, where his family will hold private services. Arrangements by Sunrise Society of New Mexico, (891-8200).
