Nunez -- Mr. Richard H. Nunez"Cato" died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 73. Mr. Nunez was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II and a life member of the DAV Chapter 3. Mr. Nunez is survived by his wife, Stella Nunez; sons, Frank Nunez and wife, Irene, Steve Nunez, Pete Nunez and wife, Marlene, and John Nunez; daughter, Hope Nunez; sisters, Lupe Nunez and Rose Nunez and husband, Antonio; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Nunez will be held on Friday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by the DAV Chapter 3. Pallbearers will be Marlo Nunez-Kinzy, Misty Nunez, Charmaine Regensberg, Gabriel Nunez, Jessica Nunez, and Nichole Nunez. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Nunez. A Rosary for Mr. Nunez will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Church.
