Varoz -- Ruben T. Varoz, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away on December 26, 1999. Ruben was born on July 31, 1960 to Sarah and Amarante Varoz in Santa Monica, California. Ruben was employed as a customer service representative for Sprint PCS in Rio Rancho. He is survived by his loving parents, Sarah and Amarante, of Rio Rancho; brother, Edward and his wife, Margaret also of Rio Rancho; three sisters, Arlene and husband, Victor Alvarez of Albuquerque, Margaret and husband, Dave Verhaaf of California, and Leslie Varoz of Rio Rancho; nieces and nephews, Eddie, Adrian, Victor II, and Alysha. Ruben will be greatly missed by his family and friends. a Rosary will be recited this evening in the Chapel of Rio Rancho Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in El Rito, New Mexico with The Rev. Pat Chavez as celebrant. Burial will take place immediately following the mass at Placitas in El Rito Cemetery.
