Upchurch -- Dorothea R. Upchurch, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Friday, December 24, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Ken Upchurch and wife, Sherron of Brookings, OR and Lannie Upchurch of Albuquerque; daughters, Judy Slayton and husband, Raymond, and Cathie Upchurch, both of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers George Baumback and wife, Shirley and Dick Baumback and wife, Cathy; and sisters, Helen Zeiss and Margaret Roetter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dewey Upchurch in 1992. Mrs. Upchurch was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Wayne Gaton officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
