Chavez -- Pilar Egea Chavez, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 1999. She was born on May 8, 1930 to Ramon and Carman Garces in Graus, (Huesca) Spain. Pilar moved to Rio Rancho over 8 years ago from Spain. Pilar is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, NM. She is survived by her beloved husband, John of Rio Rancho; two son's Erik W. of Albuquerque and James R. of Corrales; one brother, Roman Egea Toulouse, of France; two grandchildren, Roxanne and Johathan, of Corrales; one great-grandchild, De'Andre Vigil. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. A Rosary was recited on Monday, December 27, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rio Rancho Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, December 28, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, with Msgr. Raun as celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 5810 Lomas Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
