Byrne -- John P. Byrne, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Sunday, October 31, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Guri Byrne; daughters, Patricia Ann Leischner of Denver, CO, Guri K. Glass and husband, Wayne of Alexandria, VA, Bridget S. Turman and husband, Jerry of Chadron, NE; sons, James H. Byrne of Anchorage, AK, John W. Byrne of Albuquerque, and Timothy P. Byrne and wife, Geri of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Drew, Reeve, Barbara Jean, Matthew, Michael, Sage, Sarah, and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin; and his sister, Jean Ann. Mr. Byrne served in the US Army for 27 years and was involved in WWII, as well as the Korean Conflict. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
