Torres -- Piedad Torres, 77 years of age, a resident of Belen, N.M., passed away on October 20, 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart League. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and she loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo and Emilia Trujillo. Piedad is survived by her husband of 53 years, Valentin Torres of the family home in Belen; her two sons, Steve and his wife, Theresa Eileen of Belen and Lawrence of the family home; three grandchildren, Renee, Carlos and Roberto; two great-grandchildren, Raquel and Chanelle. There will be a Viewing on Thursday, October 21, 1999 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 22, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Carlos and Gilbert Torres, Jr. Molina, Eloy Molina, Ruben Molina Jr., Raymond Trujillo, and Napolian Artiaga. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
