Mcpherson -- Sam McPherson, 87, passed away Sunday, November 14, 1999. He was a resident of Albuquerque for the past 78 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Mead McPherson; son, Michael McPherson and his wife, Mary Ann of Hingham, MA; sister-in-law, Francis Mead of Albuquerque; niece, Shirley Troy of Albuquerque; great-nephews, Jim, Ed and John Troy of Huntsville, AL; cousin, Frances Neufeld and husband, Hal of Albuquerque. Mrs. McPherson attended UNM, was a president of the 20/ 30 Club of Albuquerque, and was the Manager of Contractors Equipment and Supply Company for more than 30 years. He was an energetic reader of history and was known for his prodigious memory and his warm sense of humor. He enjoyed opera and was a skilled woodworker. He was an enthusiastic football fan and a longtime supporter of the UNM Lobos and the Dallas Cowboys. A Memorial service was held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
