Barreras -- Dorothy S. Barreras, 77 years old, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 1999. Dorothy was born June 14, 1922, to Aurelia B. Sanchez and Uvaldo Sanchez. Her sister, Eulogia Turnbull preceded her in passing. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jose; her brother, Albert Sanchez and her sister, Frances Scheuring and her husband, Francis; her three sons and their wives, Arthur Garcia and Margaret, Moises Barreras and Diane, and Michael Barreras and ann; her two daughters and their husbands, Lorraine Lynch and Frank and Joyce Vigil and Richard; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy's life was her family and she gave generously of herself to all she loved as a devoted Esposa, Madre, Abuela and Tia. You are in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at Fitzgerald and Son, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Rudolfo Baca will conduct the memorial service with special remembrances given by two of Dorothy's grandsons, Andres Garcia and Kenneth Barreras. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Barreras, Kevin Barreras, Scott Barnard, Andres Garcia Jr., Richard Garcia, Vincent Garcia, Merrill Lynch, Francis Scheuring, and Carl Sovinec. The family wishes to thank Presbyterian Hospice, in particular, admission nurse Evelyn, nurse Barbara, Reverend Kay, and social worker Jean, for all their special care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place NE. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, in charge of arrangements.
