Mcpherson -- Sam McPherson, 87, passed away Sunday, November 14, 1999. He was a resident of Albuquerque for the past 78 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Mead McPherson; son, Michael McPherson and his wife, Mary Ann of Hingham, MA; sister-in-law, Francis Mead of Albuquerque; niece, Shirley Troy of Albuquerque; great-nephews, Jim, Ed and John Troy of Huntsville, AL; cousin, Frances Neufeld and husband, Hal of Albuquerque. He attended the University of New Mexico, was a president of the 20/ 30 Club of Albuquerque, and was the Manager of Contractors Equipment and Supply Company for more than 30 years. A Memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE, Albuquerque, on Friday, November 19, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations made, in loving memory of Sam McPherson, to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, 6209 Hendrix Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, (505) 881-4200.
