Grapel -- David R. Grapel, 44, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 18, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the family home; mother, Lois Grapel; sisters, Kristina Grapel and Marianne Vaive and husband, Matthew; and brother, John Grapel and wife, Carey. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl H. Grapel. David loved working with his hands and spent his life as a carpenter. Private family service were held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Albuquerque, 6001 Marble Ave. NE, 87110. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
