Rutz -- Beulah A. Rutz, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 27 years, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 1999. Beulah was born on August 19, 1915, the daughter of Willis and Grace Rockhill Simons in North Bangor, New York. She had worked for a pharmaceutical company before she retired. Beulah is survived by her husband, Alfred of Rio Rancho; five children, Carol Allen of Flora Park, NJ, Ellen Decker of Laughlin, NV, John Rutz of Green Valley, AZ, Willis Rutz of Tobyhanna, PA and Wayne Rutz of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Dorinth Fleury of Malone, NY; 13 grandchildren, Daren, David, Kristen, Greg, Tracy, Bridget, Sara, Keith, Eric, Adam, Jamie, Kim and Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jordon. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 1999, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a service by the American Legion Auxiliary at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. A cryptside service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Vista Verde Memorial Park. The family has suggested, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Legion Auxiliary #118 Children and Youth Program or the Girls State Program of the American Legion Auxiliary.
