Gallegos -- Federico Gallegos"Fred" passed away peacefully in his sleep, August 7, 1999 at Ft. Bayard Medical Center in Fort Bayard, NM. Fred was born July 21, 1914 in San Marcial, NM to Juan Gallegos and Mariano Olguin Gallegos. Fred was a former Socorro County rancher and businessman. He ran bars in San Antonio and Belen, NM. Lastly, he and his wife, Rosie owned and operated The Willow Inn bar in Bosque, NM for over 25 years. He owned ranches in Val Verde and Socorro, NM for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosaura Baca Gallegos; two brothers, Juan Maria and Jose Angel Gallegos; two sisters, Maria Delfina Gallegos Parkinson and Gertrude Gloria Gallegos Diaz. Fred is survived by 17 nephews and nieces and their children. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 1999, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located on Fourth Street and Stover, Albuquerque. Interment of cremains will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
