Mashburn -- Louis"Earl" Mashburn passed away at home in Rio Rancho on Monday morning, August 16, 1999. He was born May 29, 1926 in Ft. Worth, TX. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. Earl retired in 1978 from Chemical Express in Houston, and in 1993, he and his wife moved to Rio Rancho. On January 2, 1998, Mr. Mashburn was preceded in death by Berneice, his beloved wife of 46 years. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Joseph Roos of Rio Rancho; his step-daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Danny Walker of Van, TX; grandchildren, Bryan and Cathy Walker, Keith and Anna Walker and Kenny Walker; and great-granddaughters, Jessica and Danielle Walker and Kerstein Walker. Honoring his request, no services will be held. Memorial gifts may be made to Rio Rancho Animal Shelter, 3441 Northern Blvd., Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Mashburn, (891-8200).
