Ames -- Leslie"Les" Ames, 37, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Friday, August 6, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Scott B. Ames of Albuquerque; daughter, Kelsie Gilligan of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Ashley Ames of Chicago, IL; step-son, Scotty Ames of Chicago, IL; mother, Joan Kesselhuth of Durango, CO; sister, Sherlyn Glover and husband, Steve of Durango, CO; brothers, Gene Kesselhuth and wife, Rhonda of Bartlesville, OK and Rod Kesselhuth of Durango, CO. She was preceded in dearth by her father, Roland Kesselhuth. Mrs. Ames was a member of Cottonwood Church and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid writer and a former mascot for Durango High School in 1980. Cremation has taken place and services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, with Dr. Jack Allen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, Inc., 615 Virginia SE 87108.
